Dungeon Dramas: A Random Plot Hook guest post by All Geek Out

rsc01Welcome back to Dungeon Dramas, my ongoing series of plot hooks as developed by the random roll of my Story Cubes. Today’s Dungeon Drama is guest written by All Geek Out from his self-titled blog. He is graciously helping me out during a very hectic busy time.

His roll: a compass rose, a key, a magic wand, a magnet, a smiley face, a hand, a lightbulb, an arrow, and a castle tower…..

Upon arriving at a new town, the PCs discover something very unusual about the inhabitants – no matter how much misery they undergo, they still face everything with an abnormal happiness. Their only lead is a mysterious tower that local legends say fills with light whenever there is a full moon. There, they discover that a wizard casts a hypnotic spell on the village, and the key to stopping it is to interrupt him mid-ritual – which happens to be the very night that they arrive.

As always feel free to use this hook in your own game.  If you’re interested in coming up with your own plot hook.  Leave me a comment and we’ll set something up.
