Movie Mash-ups

A friend of mine and I were playing a game of Movie Title Mash-up on Facebook.  This game takes two movie titles and smooshes them together at the common words.  We spent about three hours back and forth coming up with these:

Since the article was written in 2009, some of these have been turned in Fake Movie Posters

Edited in 2023 putting the titles in alphabetical order and adding credits where remembered.

If you think of some others please leave them in the comments. If you suggested one of these to me, please remind me and I’ll add your credit.

  1. These are great Stev and awesome blog by the way if I’ve never told you before.

My friend Nelson used to do this thing ever since we were in Junior High where he would read the film titles on the marquee of a theater as if they were one title. The end result was just like what you’ve got here. Some worked better then others since he never really changed or combined the words but simply read them together.

  2. @Ruminator – Good One

@Otto – Thanks those were funny. I might have to use that Space Jam poster along with this article

@Barking Alien – My kids and I play that game with the local theater. This game’s a little tougher as the movies need to have something in common.

  3. “Escape From the Gangs of New York” would presumably simplify algebraically to “The Warriors”.
